Firstly, I believe that the climate would be an improvement from these harsh Toronto winters. Both cities experience continental weather, but Stratford is less extreme in comparison. As well, the summers in this small city remain warm yet does not become excruciating and unbearable as they commonly due in the Greater Toronto Area(GTA). One of the reasons the climate does not undergo any extreme factors or changes is the air. A smaller population is more likely to create less pollution, therefore, providing better air for the community. Having more trees is also an added advantage and a visual benefit.

Secondly, the recreational activities have sparked my interest in this city. It is true that many other CMAs have more cultural activities than Stratford, but that does not mean it does not have anything to offer. Stratford has a wide variety of unique festivals and events that I would like to experience, including the world renowned Stratford Festival.

All positives must come with a challenge. One challenge of living in Stratford might be finding an occupation, as competition is intense and most employers hire over qualified applicants. Another challenge is the lack of international recreational activities such as concerts performed by global sensations.
Stratford is a wonderful city with amazing aspects that offers many things despite its petite size. In short, its climate, recreational activities and natural landscape instill an urge in me to live in the city. |
